but, even more interesting (from Wikipedia):
The word "acme" means "pinnacle" or "highest"[1]. About 80 years ago, when categorized business telephone directories (such as the Yellow Pages) began to be popular, business owners realized that businesses whose names began with "A" would get listed at the beginnings of their categories. A name implying that its company was the best was so much the better. The result was a flood of companies named Acme (some of these still survive[2]); the name was so heavily used that it became something of a joke. The joke spread to Warner Bros. cartoons; in 1949, it made its first appearance in a Road Runner cartoon.
Since the fictional Acme's products are typically mail-ordered, it is likely that the famous Sears mail-order catalogs were a strong inspiration for the fictional company. Early Sears catalogs contained a number of products with the "Acme" trademark, including anvils, which are frequently-used props in Warner Bros. cartoons[3].

So that's what we're doing...
"But architecture is about more than the quality of light. It’s where our dreams collide with practical realities, which makes it perhaps the most difficult of arts."

MetaMaps
This is one of my college professors. Check out all her other work too, especially the animals and the Car Park that is under misc. She's awesome.
Her maps are pretty neat, though the resolution isn't very high.

Thoughts on Mapping
Mapping requires the trace. It does not invent any information or data that doesnt already exist. It is only the act of taking what exists in the trace (anything and everything) and reconstructing the way that information is presented. Through selection, isolation, vizualization and all those other 'tions mapping presents unseen relationships that were not before apparent. That is all that it can do. Not an easy task
